The Beautiful Schizophonic aka Jorge Mantas de Portugal. Comenzó en la música en 2003 editando algunos CD-R’s autoeditados y por el sello Mystery Sea, un CD split en el sello Thisco y para Crónica Electrónica junto a Pawel Grabowski, Paulo Raposo y James Eck Rippie participó en la serie “Product”, en el compilado “Essays On Radio: Can I Have 2 Minutes Of Your Time?” y reciente se editó su álbum “Musicamorosa”.Jorge Mantas tiene fuertes influencias en el arte contemporáneo, la poesía, pintura y filmes. Estas influencias las mezcla con el uso del software, produciendo un sonido ambiental, suaves líneas de piano, baños de ambient y drones. Su música es sofisticada, quieta y armónica. The Beautiful Schizophonic aka Jorge Mantas from Portugal started in 2003 releasing some CD-R albums by himself and for the label Mystery Sea, a slipt CD for the Thisco label and for Crónica Electrónica alongwith Pawel Grabowski, Paulo Raposo and James Eck Rippie he participated for the ‘Product’ series, the ‘Essays On Radio: Can I Have 2 Minutes Of Your Time?’ compilation and recently was released his latest album ‘Musicamorosa’.
Jorge Mantas has a big influence of contemporary and ancient poetry, painting and films. These influences he blends with the use of software design, making environmental sound, ambient washes with soft piano lines and drones. His music is quite, calm and harmonic. Here u have his new EP
