A tribute of ... LISA SHAW

Lisa Shaw's music career expanded when she arrived in New York City from Toronto. Shaw received a friendly welcome to New York City by people in the underground electronica/house music communities. She debuted in 1995 with a single titled, "Makin' Love Makin' Music", written by DJ Smash. After it became a hit in the underground, she released many more singles and collaborated with several productions, a few collaborations with Shaw's husband, DJ Swingsett and most notable, producer/songwriter,Miguel Migs. Many of these such singles have appeared on many compilations. Shaw released her debut solo album, Cherry in 2005 on the Astralwerks label. Shaw appears as a featured singer on Miguel Migs's 2007 album, Those Things. Kaba Modern used a remix of her single "Grown Apart" on the first season of America's Best Dance Crew in 2008. Her second album entitled "Free" was released on March 10th, 2009.
